Street League is going GLOBAL! Yes thats right, they’ve expanded this one of a kind contest around the globe and arranged for the highest prize purse in the game.  Last year went down with once again having Nyjah Houston winning the overall championship.  This year calls for even more stops and more money, with a total prize purse of $2,095,000. WOWZAA!  The contest will encompass 20 of the top riders from around the world who are all hungry to win some cash! Who do YOU think will win? Will we see Mr. Nyjah Houston go back to back? The Winter XGames are at it again in Tignes, France and, IT, IS, DUMPING! I dunno if anyone else saw the snow coming down over there but its looking like a major pow day for the locals!  As of right now the XGames can only be viewed on ESPN, ESPN3 and WatchESPN.  We’ve went ahead and wrote down when and where you can find all the events!  If you would like to watch the events live you may have to get up early and acquire ESPN3.  If you would like to watch it on REPLAY, be sure to watch the tube or set your DVR for the following times on ESPN! Hope everyone can get out there this weekend on some of the last days to shred around the SouthEast.  We’ll be in the high country (North Carolina), see ya out there!

Today was a day that brought much grief to friends, family, and the ski/snowboard community throughout the high country. Personally, I didn’t know the young man (Chris Brubaker) that passed away, but I have learned he was a deer friend to some of my closets friends. Not only was he a great friend to many, I have learned he was an OG to the crew at App Terrain Park. A loss of this stature can strike hard to many, so I urge everyone, even if you didn’t know this young man, please say a prayer for his family and friends. “They say that when you die, your soul leaves the body twice, once when you take your last breath, and a second time, when somebody says your name for the last time.” With that being said, I have a feeling that this young man will live forever! Rest In Peace my fellow shredder ..
